After about 3 hours of sleep, I was at Golf Channel studios ready to be on Morning Drive with Fiamma. I was so excited that day was finally here. We filmed the show in October, and 7 months is a long time to keep something so life changing inside!

After our appearance, I drove home and took a nap. Although, it was hard to sleep because I was too excited for the finale!! My family and friends gathered at a local restaurant in Vero Beach and I convinced them I had to stay in Orlando to watch the finale. About a minute before the show started, I walked into the party to cheers and tears. My family was so shocked I was there (except my husband he was in on it) and I was so excited to be there with them.

I didn’t get to watch many episodes with my family because I have been traveling on tour. It meant a lot to me that I could watch with them and see their reactions once I won. It was an amazing night and I can’t believe it’s all over! Travis and I drove back up to Orlando and had about 3 hours of sleep before being at Golf Channel again at 6:15.

I could feel a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders once it was over. It was difficult to hold in such an amazing accomplishment and now I can finally celebrate it with my family and friends! I cannot thank Golf Channel enough for this opportunity. To the producers, staff, and crew who believed in me and selected me to be on the show, I’ll forever be grateful to you all as this was truly life changing for me. I have always had to work in my off season to be able to afford to play. I have never been able to have an off season devoted to just getting better. There have been plenty of times where I went to a tournament knowing that if I didn’t make a cut, I couldn’t play the next week. I have never given up on this dream and this experience on the show has helped push me to the next level. I have a mental freedom knowing that financially I’m going to be ok.

This is huge for a professional golfer and it is hard to put into words how thankful I am for this experience. Thank you to all of my fans and support system. It has been such a positive experience and I thank you all for the kind words and support. This is the jump start I needed after pouring the last 4 and a half years into professional golf. I cannot wait to make my LPGA rookie debut next week at my sponsor invite at the Manulife Financial Classic in Waterloo, Ontario. I’m also excited to be playing in the Big Break Invitational in September. This event will be open to the public and live on Golf Channel. Go to their website to find more info!
