I played my US Open qualifier during my off week at one of my favorite courses in my hometown, Quail Valley. The course is very challenging and the staff out there is always so kind to me. I shot even par for 2 rounds 72-72 and finished both rounds with birdies. Unfortunately, I needed to shoot 3 under to qualify (only 3 spots for 78 girls). After playing 5 weeks in a row and then 36 in one day, I felt that I played well. In some ways, I was ok with not qualifying because now I can play in the 2nd biggest purse on the Symetra Tour. It’s so important to play well in the higher purses because you can make more money towards the money list. I wish I was at Pinehurst but hopefully I will play in many US Opens down the road.
